The vessels, crews, passengers and cargoes

Contracting Party, whilst
in
the territorial waters
ο!
the
other Contracting Party,shall be subject to the respective
national laws and regulations
in
force, specially the
regulations concerning navigation and safety as well a8
public order, frontier crossings, customs, foreign
exchange, health, veterinary and sanitary controls.
ARTICLE

1.
Each Contracting Party shall recognise the seamens'
identity documents issued by the competent authorities

the other Contracting Party.
2.
The identity documents provided for
in
paragraph
(1)

this Article
are:
(a) in the

the Republic
οΙ
Cyprus -
The "Passport
ο!
the Republic
ο!
Cyprus"
and
the "Cyprus
Seaman'
s Book"
(b)
Ιη
the case
ο!
the Democratic Socialist
Republic
ο!
Sri
Lanka -
The "Continous Discharge Certificate
(C.D.C.)".
ARTICLE
ΧΙ
1.
Persons holding the appropriate identity documents
referred to
in
Article
Χ ο!
this Agreement are permitted,
as being members
ο!
the crew
ο!
the vessel
ο!
the Contracting
Party which 1ssued the seamens' identity documents, to stay
on
temporary shore leave without visas during the stay
ο!
the vessel
in
a port
ο!
the other Contracting
Party,
provided the master
ο!
the vessel
has
submitted the crew
list to the competent authorities in accordance with the
regulations
in
force
in
that port.
2.
The crew
ο!
the vessels referI'ed to
in
paragraphs
(1)
and (2)
ο!
Article
Ι
shall, however, be subject to the
customs control
in
force
in
that port whenever members
ο!
the cr·ew leave

a
port.
