Article 5
1.
The vessels

one Contraoting Party and
their crews and cargoes shall enjoy the same
tr~atment
as accorded to vessels, crews and car–

most favoured nation when entering

from or staying in the ports

other Contracting Party.
2.
The provisions

paragraph
(1)
shall apply,
ίn
pa11icular, with respect
ισ:
(a) fees, dues and charges of any kind levied
ίn
the name

or
ση
account of public
institutions or other organizations, as well
as the mode
οί
their levy;
(b)
mooring and unmooring, loading and un–
loading of vessels in the ports and road–
steads ;
(c) services of pilots and towage and the use
σί
canals, locks, bridges, signals and fairway
lightίngs
;
(d) the use
σί
cranes, weighbridges, warehouse.; ,
dockyards, docks and repair shops ;
(e) supply with fuel, lubricating oils, water and
food;
({) medical and sanitary care.
Article 6
Each Contracting Party shall adopt, within the
limits

its national laws and regulations, all
appropriate measures in order

reduce, as far
as possjblc. unnecessary delays

vessels in ports
and to simplify and expedite, as far as possible,
the completion
οί
customs and sanitary procedures
and other fonna1ities applicable
ίn
ports.
Article 7
1. Each

Contracting Party

board that vessel issued by the competent
authorities of the other Contracting Party

cordance with its national laws and regulat'ions.
2. Vessel's documents

tracting Party shall be recognised by the compe–
tent bodies of the other Contracting Party.

Article 8
Each Contracting Party shall recognise the sea–
mcn's identity documents issued by the compe–
tent authorities of the other Contracting Party.
These identity documents are :
For nationals of the Republic

the "Passport

the Republic of Cyprus .,
and the .. Cyprus Seaman's Book".
For nationals
σί
the Polish People's Re–
public, the "Seaman's Book, or the "Pass–
port
σί
the Polish People's Republic".
Article 9

Artic]e 10
1.
The vessels, crews, passengers and cargoes

one Contracting Party, whilst in the territory

concerning traffic
and safety as well as pub1ic order, frontier cros–
sing, customs, foreign exchange, health, veterinary
and phytosanitary controls.

facilities, vessels' safety appliances, measurement
and seaworthiness in force in the State

Article 11
1.

a vessel of one Contraoting Party suffers
shipwreck. runs aground, is cast ashore, or suffer..,

the ather Contracting Party, the vessel and the
cargo shall enjoy, in the territory

Party, the same benefits and privileges and accept
the same liabilities as are accorded to a vesse]

and passengers as well as the vessel itself and it')
cargo, shall be granted, at any time, help and
assistance

tative of the other Contracting Party.
Article 12
1.

national operations by shipping or fishing enter–
prises registered under the laws and regulations

the Contracting Parties shall be subject to the
levy of tumover taxes, income taxes or other
direct taxes and dues

any kind

has its regi–
stered office.
2. The incomes and profits mentioned

may be used for payments in the ter–
ritory

the Contracting Party

which they are
realized, or be transferred to the territory of the
other Contracting Party in accordance with the
respective national laws and regulations in force .
Article 13
1. For the safe manning

shipowners

each Contracting Party may engage qualified offi–
cers and crew who are nationals

the other
Contracting Party. The terms

employment
of such nationals

Contracting Party's territory shaJl be approved
by the appropriate Authorities

the seamen's
cσuntry.
2. Any disputes arising out

the respective
contract

employment between

the one Contracting Party and the seaman

Party shall be subject to the
