(2) On the basis of such a system, the Council may establish price
ranges and price differentials for the principal groups of coffee and a
comρosite
price range.
(3)
Ιη
establishing and adjusting any price range for the purposes of
this Article, the Council shall take into consideration the prevailing
level and trend of coffee prices including the influence thereon of:
the levels and trends of consumption and production as we11 as
stocks
ίη
importing and exporting countries;
changes
ία
the world monetary system;
the trend of world inflation
οτ
deflation; and
any other factors which might affect the achievement of the
objectives set out
ίη
this Agreement.
The Executive Director shal1 supply the data necessary to permit the
Council to give due consideration to the
fοregόίng
e1ements.
Article 39
Additional measures for the adjustment of quotas
(1) If quotas are

effect, the Council shall be convened
ίη
order to
egtablish a system for the
ρτο
rata adjustment of quotas
ίη
response to
movements
ίη
the composite indicator price, as provided for
ίη
Article 38.
(2) Such a system shall inc1ude provisions regarding price ranges, the
nurnber of rnarket days over which counts shal1 be held and the number and
size of adjustments.
(3) The Counci1 may establish a system for adjusting quotas
ίη
response
to movements
ίη
the prices of the principal groups of coffee. The Council
