after called

ARTICLE 1
For the purpose

the present Agreement and
the Annex thereto the following terms have the
foJlowing meaning, unless otherwise stated
ίη

(a) ''Aeronautical

means

and Works and in the

sently exercised by the said Authorities.
(b)
"Designated airline" means the

the Contracting Parties shaIl have
designated

writing to the other Contract–
ing Party. in accordance with Article 3

the present Agreement. as the airline which
is to operate the intemationaI air
serν,ices

the routes specified
ίη
Article 2 para–
graph 1 of the present Agreement.
(c)

and "stop for non-traffic
purposes" shall have the meaning specified

Articles 2 and 96 of the Convention.
ARllCLE 2
1. Each Contracting Party grants to the other
Contracting Party the rights specified
ίη
the
present Agreement for the purpose
οί
establishing
scheduled intemational air services
οη
the routes
specified in the Annex to the present Agreement.
Such
serνices
and routes are hereinafter
called "the agreed
serνices"
and "the specified
routes" respectively.
ARllCLE 3
1. Each Contracting Party has the right

designate

writing to the other Contracting
Party one airline for the purpose

the agreed
serνices οη
the specified routes.

receipt of such designation. the Aero–
nautical Authorities
of
the other Contracting
Party shal1, subject to the provisions of para–
graphs 3 and 4 of this Article, without de]ay,
grant to the designated airline the

3. The Aeronautical

4. The Aeronautical Authorities

tracting Party shall have the

grant the operating authorisation referred to

paragraph 2 of this Article, or to impose such
conditions as

the

5. When an airline has been so designated and
authorised,

may begin at any
