96. Fuel carried on board an aircraft entering Cyprus and possessing the nationality
of any of the States in which the Convention relating to the regulation of aerial navigation
m a d e on the 13th October, 1919, is for the time being in force r Provided that the quantity
-of such fuel does not exceed that needed for the journey of such aircraft as defined in the
Hog book thereof.

*: 97. The following goods or materials of British Empire origin imported by the Cyprus
Mines Corporation between the 1st of June, 1935, and the 31st of December, 1937,
inclusive, and certified to be solely required for use by the Corporation for its mining
-or ore treating operations or in connection with the mill and power plant buildings,
•shops, warehouses,, tanks and engineering structures belonging to the Corporation :—-

98. The following goods or materials imported by the Cyprus Mines Corporation
^between the 1st January, 1934, and 31st December, 1943, and certified to be solely required
for use by the Corporation for its Tp-ining or ore treating operations or in connection with
the mill and power plant buildings, shops, warehouses, tanks and engineering structures
3>elonging to the Corporation:—
Flotation reagents comprising chemicals, oils, and other substances for use in the
flotation process of ore concentration.
Iron or steel or alloy balls, wearing plates,.mantles, liners in all shapes, roll shells and
discs, for use in ore crushing machinery or ore grinding mills.
Scrap iron and steel, loose, baled or compressed, and pig iron, for use in the
precipitation of copper from solutions.
Crude petroleum, fuel or furnace oil, gas oil or diesel oil.
99. The following goods or materials of British Empire origin imported by the Cyprus
3Iines Corporation between the 1st January, 1934, and 31st December, 1943, and certified
to be solely required for use by the Corporation for its mining or ore treating operations or
in connection with the mill and power plant buildings, shops, warehouses, tanks and
engineering structures belonging to the Corporation :—
Lubricating oils imported in bulk and not intended for distribution or re-sale.
Asbestos or composition sheeting in rolls to be used for flooring under mineral heaps.
Expanded metal and steel to be used in stopping operations.
A n y of these goods or materials which are of non-British Empire origin should, on
importation, pay one-sixth of the full duties of Customs for the time being in force.
100. Cinematograph films depicting news, if the Comptroller of Customs and Inland I
Revenue is satisfied that they are of British Empire origin.

101. Bedsteads and wire mattresses, baths and basins, sanitary apparatus, electric
light installations, blankets, linen, cutlery and glass forming thefirstequipment of a hotel,
upon proof to the satisfaction of the Comptroller of Customs and Inland Revenue that the
following conditions have been complied with :—(a) That every article is to be kept and
used in a hotel for the construction of which a sum of not less than ten thousand pounds
has been or is to be expended. (6) That every article is marked with the name of the hotel
.and/or with the name of the proprietor of the hotel, (c) That every article is of British
origin or manufacture, (d) That the proprietor of the hotel enters, at the time of
importation, into a bond in such form and secured in such manner as the Comptroller of
Customs and Inland Revenue m a y prescribe and require, conditioned that, if at any time
any such article which has been imported free from duties of Customs is sold to any person
or is found in the possession of any person other than the proprietor of the hotel, such
proprietor shall in respect of such article pay forthwith the duties of Customa which would
have been payable thereon at the time of importation.
102. Rock salt provided that the importer produces to the Comptroller of Customs
and Inland Revenue a permit from the Director of Agriculture authorizing the importation
of such salt and makes a declaration in writing that he will use such salt solely as a lick for
-cattle and for no other purpose.
103. Cloth of the type suitable for the manufacture of fumigation tents, provided that
such cloth is of British Empire origin and the importer makes a declaration in writing that
he will use such cloth solely forthe manufacture of fumigation tents and for no other purpose.
104. Flax yarn imported from any part of the British Empire between the 1st October,
1934, and 30th September, 1935, by any owner of a factory for the weaving of cloth there-
