PARCEL POST-
INLAND.
The rates of postage on parcels intended for delivery within the Island are as
follows :—
For a parcel not exceeding 3 ft. in weight
For a parcel exceeding 3 ft. but not exceeding 7 ft.
For a parcel exceeding 7ft.but not exceeding lift...
N o parcel may exceed 11 ft. in weight.
The maximum size allowed for an Inland Parcel is—

Parcels are accepted for, and received from, all countries which have adopted the
Parcels Post system, at various rates of postage.
Direct parcel post mails are exchanged between Cyprus and the United Kingdom,
Cyprus and France, and Cyprus and Egypt.
The rates of postage on parcels addressed to the United Kingdom are :— s. cp.

The limits of size are generally 3 feet 6 inches in length and 6 feet in length and girth
combined.
The limit of weight is 11 ft.
RE-DIRECTION.
Parcels re-directed from one Post Office to another in Cvprus 3hail be liable to additional
postage at the full inland rate for each re-direction.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE
The Island Postmaster shall not be liable to make good any claim arising out of the loss,
damage or delay of parcels sent by post.
A system of compensation tor loss of or damage vo uninsured parcels is in force between
Cyprus, England. Egypt and France. The maximum amount of compensation payable is i'l.
CUSTOM HOUSE DECLARATION.
The sender of each parcel for abroad will be required tofillup a Custom House Declaration
Form. Upon tii is form must be given an accurate statement of the contents and value, date
of posting, and the sender's signature and address.
CUSTOMS REGULATIONS.
Parcels on arrival in Cyprus will lie liable to examination by an Officer of Customs,
who will assess the amonnt of Cnstoms dues to be charged thereon. " The Customs dues will l.e
collected at tlie time of delivery, and no parcel can be delivered until the Customs and all orijer
charges are paid.
Parcels found to contain forbidden articles aud parcels, the contents and value of which
have been falsely declared, may be dealt with according to the laws on the subject. And
generally the senders of parcels, whether in Foreign Countries or Cyprus, will be required to
conform to tin- Customs and other laws or regulations from time to time in force in respect of
such parcels.
Parcels which cannot be delivered, returned to the senders, or re-directed, and which have
thus become undeliverable. will eventually be returned to the country of origin.
Parcels becoming offensive or injurious to any Officer of the Post Office or other person, or
t/o other parcels will be disposed of as the Island Postmaster may direct.
D U T Y COLLECTION FEE.
A fee of tcp. is charged by the Post Office in respect of each parcel delivered in Cvnrus
