Fines are levied in the different Courts under the Ottoman and English Law as from time
to time altered or modified by Cyprus Statute Law.

(a).
In matters regulated by "The Rules of Court, 1336," in matters
arising under the authority of clause 70 of '* The High Court of Justice
Ordinance, 1S79," and in proceedings in bankruptcy under the provi–
sions ot the Ottoman Commercial Code, the following fees are appointed
to he taken, in the Supreme Court, in the several District Courts, iu
any office which is connected with any of those Courts aud by any
officer attached to any of those Courts, in respect of the several pro–
ceedings mentioned:—
O n sealing a writ of summons in auy action :—
Where the amount claimed is £20 or under
Where the amount claimed is over £20 ; where uo liquidated
sum is claimed ; or where the recovery of money is not the
object of the action ...
On sealing a summons to auy person to attend as witness or
otherwise ...
On application to re-enter action for hearing where it has been
entered and struck out for default of appearance and is not re–
entered by leave of the Court :—
Where the amount claimed is £20 or under
Where the amount claimed is over £20 ; where no liquidated
sum is claimed ; or where the recovery of money is not the
object ot the action... ... ...
O n entering a judgment or any onier for which no special fee is
provided ...
On tiling notice of appeal to the Supreme Court
O n enteriug an order for leave to appeal to Privy Council
