When an application is made for permission for a steamer to work on .Sun-hays and ou
Official holidays in a n y harbour or port in C y p r u s , the person so applying m u s t deposit, in
addition to the usual overtime fees, a s u m equal to t w o copper piastres por ton regiscer of the
steamer for w h i c h such permission is desired, but so thac in no case shall a less s u m th--:i

RATE OF LICENSE DUTIES CHARGEABLE IX RESPECT OF THE SALE OF
INTOXICATING LIQUORS.
For every hotel, cafe, restaurant or other place used for the sale of intoxicating liquors by retail.
an annual percentage on the rental or yearly value of the premises so used after the rate of SO
per cent, for thefirst£ 2 5 and 15 per cent, for all further rental or yearly valne, bus so that tbe
liceuse for a hotel shall not exceea the s u m of £ 6 per a n n u m , and so that the license for any
other premises so used shall not exceed the s u m of £ 1 2 per a n n u m , and so that the lowe-sc annual
rate of duty chargeable shall be for premises in any of the towns of Nicosia. L a m a c a , Famagnsta
(including Varoshia) and Limassoi twenty-five shillings, and for premises in any other place
twelve shillings.
For selling by retail in any tent or booth or in the open air two shillings per day.
