AGREEMENT
BETWEEN

BBLGO - LUXEMBURG
ECONOMIC

INTERNATIONAL ROAD TRANSPORT
The Republic of Cyprus
and
The Kingdom of Belgium, acting both in its own name and in the name of the Grand Duchy
of Luxemburg by virtue

existing agreements,
hereinafter called " The Contraoting Parties " ;
Desirous of promoting, in the
ίnterest
of their eoonomic relations, the development

transport
of goods by road between their countries and
ίη
transit across their territories;
Havίng
decided to conclude an Agreement with the object

consoIidating
existίng facnitίes
and creating additional
facίlities
;
Have agreed as fo110WS:
Article 1
Each

the Contracting Pames shal1 al10w

other Contracting Party and

goods by road according

the laws and reguIations

Nothing in this Agreement shaH
be
held to
permit

in the terl"itory of one

the Contraoting Parties to carry goods which
are loaded at any

the territory

the
other Contracting Party
to
any

the same territory.
Article 3
Except as otherwise prov'ided
in
this Agree–
ment, carriers established
ίη
the territory of one

the
Conιtraotiίng
Parties have to comply with
the 'laws and regulations
ίη
force
ίη
the territory
σf
the other
Conitίl"Rotιing
Party.
Article 4
Ιη

any infl"ingement

sions of thi,s
Agreemenιt
by a carrier, established

Oontraoting Parties,
the Contracting Party in whose territory tJhe in·

the other Con–
tracting Party, which will take such steps as are
provided by its laws and
regu]aιtions.
'Article 5
1. Motor road vehicles regJstered
in
t'he terri1:ory
οί
one of the
Conιtraoting Paιrties,
and a1so the
trailers and semi-trailers coming from that ter–
ritory, which are ,temporarily imported in the
oourse of
traΠ'sport
covered by this Agreement
ίηro
the territory of the other Contracting Party,
shall
be
exempted from the ,taxes and charges
levied
οη
the oi'rculation or possession of vehicles
ίη
the
ιt:er1"itory
of the other Contracting Party.
This exemption shall
ηot e~tend
to taxes and
charges
οη
fuel.
2. Road transport of goods covered by the
Agreement and effected by
caπiers οί
one of
the Contraoting Parties
in
the territory of the
other
Conιtracting
Party is exempted, in the ter–
ritory of the ot,her Contracting Party, from taxes
and charges.
