Having regard to the objectives

the General Agreement

Tar'iffs and. Trade to which

countries are contraoting parHes, and
Desiring to promote and expand mutuaHy beneficial trade and trade relations between the
two countries,
Have agreed as follows:
ARTICLE
Ι
The two Governments shall take all appro–
priate measures to faciHtate, strengthen and
diversify trade between their countries with the
aim

achieving a continuing expansion of mu–
tually beneficial trade.

Trade between the two countries shall be ef–

and the obligations undertaken by the two

between the two countries;

fairs, trade exhibitions and other promo–
tional activi.ties

the fields

trade and
technology in its country by enterprises
and organisations of the other country.
ARTICLE V
Each Government shall, subjeot

the appropriate import duties and

ARTICLE VI
All payments arising front trade between the
two countries shall be effected in mutually ac–
ceptable oonvertible currency in aocordance with
the foreign exchange laws, regulations or require–
ments
οί
the two countries.
ART]jCLE

This Agreement shall come into force

the
date of signature and sha:H remain in force for
an initial period

five years. Thereafter the
Agreement shall remain in force

the
eχρί­
ration

ninety days from the date

which
either Government receives from the other
written notice

it,s desire t'O terminate the
Agreement.

signed this Agreement.
