The Government of the Republic

reaffirming their objective of securing and further
strengthenίng
the friendly relations between
the peoples

Recognising that the further development

economic relations between the two countries

a long-term basis corresponds to their mutual interest;
Taking into consideration the existing favourable conditions for the further development

trade relations, economic and

co-operation between the two countries;
Guided by the provisions

the Final Act of the Conference

Security and Co-operation

AGREED as fol1ows :
ARTICLE 1
The Contracting Parties will develop, strengthen
encourage the economic and industrial co-opera–

between their countries with a view of pro–
moting and diversifying the existing trade and
economic relation.
ARTICLE 2
The Contracting Parties shal1,

appropriate
encourage and facilitate development,

cordance with the

Laws and Regulations
of
each country, and under normal commercial
and technical conditions, of economic and
ίη­
dustriaI co-operation between

prises and organizations

tries such
as :
(a) the design and construction

new

dustrial plants and equipment, as wel1 as
the expansion and modernization of the
existing ones ;
(b)
the joint production and commercialisa–
tion

goods

markets, including
the specialisation
ίη
production and
marketing;
(c) the
settίng υρ
of
joίnt
ventures;
(d) the exchange of know-how, technical
ίη­
formation, patents and licences, the appli–
cation and improvement of existing techni–
cal methods, as well as the training and
exchange

specialists and trainees ;
(e) tlle exchange

experience, by exchanging

common interest.
