Production policy
(1)
Το
facilitate the achievement of the objectives set out

paragraph (1) of Artic1e 1, exporting Members undertake to adopt
and to implement a production po1icy.

(2) The Council shall, by a distributed two-thirds majority vote,
estab1ish procedures for coordinating the production policies referred
[ο
ίη
paragraph (1) of this Article. These procedures
may
include appropriate
measures for, or encouragement of, diversification, together with the
means whereby Members may obtain both technical and financial assistance.
(3) The Counci1 may establish a contribution payable by exporting Members
which shall be used
[ο
permit the Organization to carry out appropriate
technica1 studies for the purpose of assisting exporting Members to adopt
the measures necessary
[ο
pursue an adequate production po1icy. Such
contribution sha11 not exceed

US cents per bag exported to importing
Member countries and sha11 be payab1e

convertib1e currency.

Po1icy re1ative to coffee stocks

comp1ement the provisions of Chapter

and of Artic1e 50, the
Counci1 sha11, by a distributed two-thirds majority vote, establish a
p01icy relating to coffee stocks

producing Member countries.
(2) The Counci1 sha11 adopt measures to ascertain annua11y the vo1ume of
coffee stocks

the hands of individual exporting Members
