Article
5 .
Separate membership in respect
οί
desigrtated territories
Any Contracting Party which is a net importer of coffee
may,
at
any
time,
by
appropriate notification
ίη
accordance with the provisions of
paragraph (2) of Article 64, declare that it is participating
ίη
the
Organization separately with respect to any
οί
the territories for whose
internationa1 relations it is responsible, which are net exporters of
coffee and which it designates.
Ιn
such case, the metropolitan territory
and its non-designated territories will have a single membership, and its
designated territories, either individually
οτ collectiνely
as the
notification indicates, wil1 have separate membership.
Article 6
Group membership upon joining the Organization
(1) Two
στ
more Contracting Parties which are net exporters of coffee may,
by appropriate notification to the Counci1 and to the Secretary-General of
the United Nations at the time of deposit
οί
their respective instruments
of approva1, ratification, acceptance
στ
accession, declare that they are
joining the Organization as a Member group.

Agreement has been extended under the provisions

paragraph (1)

Article 64 may constitute part of such Xember group
ίί
the
Goνernment
of
the State responsib1e for its internationa1 re1ations has given appropriate
notification thereof under the provisions of paragraph (2) of Artic1e 64.
Such Contracting Parties and designated territories must satisfy the
fol1owing conditions:
