να ιπχύει προσωρινά έναντι της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας από
την 1η Οκτωβρίου
1983
δυνάμει του Άρθρου
61(2)
της Συμφω
νίας αυτής, δημοσΙF.ύέται στην επίσημη εφημερίδα της Δημο
κρατΙας σύμφωνα με τις διατάξεις του Άρθρου
169(3)
του
Συντ&γματος, συνοδευόμενη από μετ&φραφή της στην ελληνική.

Preamble
The Governments party to this Agreement,
Recognising the exceptional importance of coffee
(ο
the economies of
many countries which are largely dependent upon this commodity for their
export earnings and thus for the continuation of their deve10pment
programmes

the social and economic fields;
Considering that close international cooperation

trade
ίη
coffee
νίΙΙ
foster the economic diversification and development of coffee-
~roducing
countries, wil1 improve political and economic relations
between producers and
consu~ers
and wi11 provide for increasing consumption
of coffee..;
Recognising the desirability of avoiding disequilibrium between
production and consumption which can give rise to pronounced fluctuations

prices harmful both to producers and to consumers;
Believing that international measures can assist
ίη
correcting the
effects of such disequilibrium. as wel1 as help to ensure

adequate
level of earnings to producers through remunerative prices;
Noting the advantages derived from the internationa1 cooperation
Vhich resu1ted from the operation of the Internationa1 Coffee
Agreements
1962. 1968

1976;
