The Secretary of State for the Colonies has
intimated that the power of disallowance will not be
exercised in respect of the under-mentioned Laws :—
No. 41 of 1959.—A Law to amend the Elections
(President and Vice-President of the Republic)
Law, 1959.
No. 42 of 1959.—A Law to make further provision
regarding the conduct and management of the
Elections of the First President and the First
Vice-President of the proposed Republic of
Cyprus and for matters connected therewith.

Gazette of the 13th June, 1958, the secondment
of Mr. Ch. P. Karakannas, B.E.M., Inspector of
Works, as Superintendent of Works, Department
of Water Development, is terminated with effect
from 1st January, i960.
