N o . 739. Vacancies for Interpreters.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified
candidates for vacancies in the temporary post of
Interpreter, House of Representatives.
2. The salary of the post is £1,020 per annum
rising by annual increments of £36 to £1,200 per
annum, plus cost-of-living allowance at the rate
approved from time to time, the present rate being
2 8 £ % of basic salary. The successful candidates
may be allowed to enter the salary scale above the
minimum according to their qualifications and expe–
rience.
3. Duties : To interpret from Greek into Turkish
and vice versa in the House of Representatives or
the Ministerial Council of the Republic of Cyprus ;
to do translations from Greek into Turkish and
vice versa ; and to perform any other suitable duties.
4. Qualifications required : A very good general
education with an excellent knowledge of the Greek
and Turkish languages and ability to interpret
fluently in both languages.
5. Applications should be submitted on Form
Gen. 6 to the Acting Chief Establishment Officer
not later than the 2nd August, 1960. Applicants
already in the Government service should submit
their applications through the Head of their Depart–
ment.

It is hereby notified that His Excellency the
Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. John
Georghiou Mavroudhis to be the Chairman of the
Tribunal appointed under section 3 (2) {c) of the
Trade Disputes (Conciliation, Arbitration and
Inquiry) Law, Cap. 171, and published in the
Gazette of 12th May, 1960, under Notification
No. 479, in the place of Mr. Simos Vassiliou, who
has resigned.
