Administrative Secretary, Census Office.
VACANCY.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified
Cypriot candidates for the post of Administrative
Secretary, Census Office.
2. The post is temporary and non-pensionable
and is not expected to last for more than 12 months.
3. The salary of the post is £90 per month (fixed)
without any cost-of-living allowance.
4. Applicants must possess administrative
experience and organizing ability and be above 25
years of age. Experience in Government Service
and a University Degree in Economics, Statistics or
other related subject are desirable but not essential
qualifications.
5. The person selected will be required to assist
the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent in
the general organization of the i960 Census of
Population and Agriculture and the training of
subordinate staff. He may be required to travel
extensively during thefirst4-5. months of his appoint–
ment.
6. Applications on Form Gen. 6 should reach the
Superintendent of the Census, c/o Statistics and
Research Department, Nicosia, not later than the
25th July, i960.

VACANCY.
Applications are invited from Cypriots for a
vacancy in the temporary post of Lay-Worker in St.
Haralambos Home for the Disabled, Larnaca. The
salary of the post is £642 p.a. rising by annual
increments of £24 to £690 and then by £30 to £810.
In addition a cost-of-living allowance at the rate
approved from time to time is paid by Government.
The present rate being 2 8 | % of salary.
2. Duties and responsibilities : Responsible for
(a) the supervision and control of staff, male and
female ; {b) the welfare of the leper patients in the
Home ; {c) the smooth running of the Co-operative
Store; {d) the keeping of inventories ; {e) the
smooth running of the Home and the clinic there ;
(J) the organization of entertainments and social
activities among the patients.
3. Qualifications required : Candidates should
possess a good knowledge of English and must be
graduates of a Secondary School; possession of the
Royal Society of Health Certificate is an advantage.
4. Preference will be given to a candidate posses–
sing, in addition to the above qualifications, expe–
rience in nursing, sanitation, administration and the
keeping of accounts.
5. Applicants should submit their applications
on Form Gen. 6 (obtainable from the Government
Employment Exchanges) to reach the Acting Chief
Medical Officer not later than the 8th August, 1960.

To all to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting !
W H E R E A S
His Majesty King George the Fifth by
Royal Charter dated the twenty-first day of May in
the year of our Lord One thousand nine hundred
and seventeen (hereinafter referred to as " the
Original Charter") constituted a Body Corporate
by the name of The Imperial War Graves Commis–
sion (hereinafter referred to as " the Commission")
with perpetual succession and a common seal and
with capacity to sue and be sued in their Corporate
name :

by Supplemental Charters dated
respectively the twenty-sixth day of August, One
thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, the seven–
teenth day of January, One thousand nine hundred
and twenty-four, the seventeenth day of March,
One thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, the fifth
day of March, One thousand nine hundred and forty,
the seventh day of February, One thousand nine
hundred and forty-one, the tenth day of February,
One thousand nine hundred and forty-four, and
the fifth day of October, One thousand nine hundred
and forty-eight, such additional powers were
granted to the Commission and such further matters
provided for as are therein respectively set out:

it appears to the Commonwealth
Governments represented on the Commission and
to the Commission to be requisite for the carrying
into effect of the purposes or powers of the Original
Charter and the aforesaid Supplemental Charters
that W e should by a further Supplemental Charter
grant and declare that the name of the Commission
be altered to " The Commonwealth War Graves
Commission " :

the Commission have represented
unto Us that it is expedient that for the purposes
of the Original Charter and the aforesaid Supple–
mental Charters certain variations of and alterauons
to the provisions of Clause 4 Part VII of the Original
Charter should be authorised and that W e should
by Supplemental Charter provide accordingly :

an humble Petition has been
presented unto Us in Our Council by the Commis–
sion praying Us to grant a further Supplemental
Charter to the Commission making such provision
for the matters hereinbefore mentioned as is herein–
after set out:

that W e of Our Royal Will and
Pleasure and moved thereto by Our desire to clarify
and define the purposes, powers and responsibility
of the Commission, and to promote the efficiency of
the Commission, have granted and declared and are
graciously pleased for Ourselves, Our Heirs and
Successors in addition to and not withstanding
anything to the contrary contained in the Original
Charter and the aforesaid Supplemental Charters to
grant and declare as follows : —
1. The name of the Body Corporate established
by the Original Charter shall be and is hereby
