Appointment of Greek Registrar under the
Co-operative Societies Law.
CAP. 198 A N D L A W S 22 O F 1955 AND 28 OF 1959.
In exercise of the powers vested in him by
section 3 of the Co-operative Societies Law, His
Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
appoint the Chief Co-operative Officer (Greek) to
be Greek Registrar for the purposes of the afore–
said Law, with effect from the 1st day of Janu–
ary, i960.
2. Notification No. 1197 published in the
Gazette of the 26th November, 1959, is hereby
cancelled.

Appointment of Turkish Registrar under the
Co-operative Societies Law.
CAP. 198 AND L A W S 22 OF 1955 AND 28 OF 1959.
In exercise of the powers vested in him by
section 3 of the Co-operative Societies Law, His
Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
appoint the Chief Co-operative Officer (Turkish)
to be Turkish Registrar for the purposes of the
aforesaid Law, with effect from the 1st day of
January, i960.
2. Notification No. 1196 published in the
Gazette of the 26th November, 1959, is hereby
cancelled.

Department of Commerce and Industry.
VACANCIES.
Applications are invited from female candidates
for vacancies in the post of Receptionist, Tourist
Office. Appointments will be made on a tempo–
rary basis.
2. The salary of the post is £354X18—426 X
24—522 per annum plus cost-of-living allowance
at the rate approved b}' Government from time
to time, the present rate being 2 5 % of salary.
3. Duties : To answer tourists' enquiries and
generally to assist visitors in hotel reservations,
arrangements for transport, excursions, etc. To
act from time to time as Manageress of a Tourist
Information Bureaux. Any other suitable duties
which may be assigned to her.
4. Qualifications required : A good knowledge
of English, Greek or Turkish and French. Some
knowledge of other languages durable. A good
knowledge of the Island's tourist attractions.
5. Applicants, who should be British subjects,
should submit their applications on Form Gen. 6
to the Acting Director of Commerce and Industry,
Nicosia, not later than 30th January, 196a
Applicants already in the Government service
should submit their applications through the
Head of their Department.
