UNDELIVERABLE PARCELS.
Parcels to Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Egypt and the Sudan, and thone
British Possessions and Foreign Countries which have adopted the arrangement, which
bear one address only, if not claimed by the addressee within a prescribed period which
varies from 15 to 90 days according to the country of destination, will be treated as unde–
liverable, and will be either returned to the sender or disposed of in accordance with the
sender's wishes should such be inscribed on the parcels. If the parcels bear two addresses
they will be held at the disposal of thefirstaddressee for a specified period (usually about
half of the total period of retention) and if not claimed will be held at the disposal of the
second addressee for the remainder of the total period of retention, and if then unclaimed
will be treated as undeliverable.
Parcels received from those British Possessions and Foreign Countries which have
adopted the above mentioned arrangement will be retained for 15 days, that is to say,
-8 days at the disposal of the first addressee and 7 days at the disposal of the second
-addressee.
Parcels to and from countries which have not agreed to apply the simplified arrange-
Nment for the treatment of undeliverable parcels will be retained at the Post Office to which
they are addressed for a period not exceeding three months; but if possible the senders
will be consulted, through the office of origin, as to disposal.

For the delivery of parcels in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Egypt free
-of any charges.

COLLECTION OF TRADE CHARGES.
REMBO-JESEMEN'T SYSTEM.
The "Remboursement" system is designed to meet the requirements of persons who
wish to pay for articles sent to them at the time of receipt of the articles and also'co meet the
requirements of trader*} and others who wish to recover through the agency of the Post Office the
•value of articles sapplied by them.
Throughout these Regulations the amount to be collected under the " Remboursement "
system is called the " Trade Charge."
The amount of Trade Charge shall not eiceed the limits accepted by the country of
destination and the maximum shall in no case exceed £40 incla<iing the fees payable at the office
of origin and postage.
Every " Remboorsement Parcel" posted or delivered in Cyprus shall be chargeable
with such 3pecial fees as may be prescribed fur that purpose.
The fees payable at the office of origin will be collected at the time of postiug; and
should be included by rhe sender in the amoant required to be collected from the addressee.
The full amount so collected is remitted to the sender of the parcel by means of Trade Charge
Monev Orders.

The sender of a parcel posced under the Reml-oursemencsysrem may not have che amount ;
of the Trade Charge cancelled or reduced after posting.
If a Remboursement parcel which bears one address only is not claimed by the addressee j
within a period of 15 davs, the parcel will be treated as undeliverable. If a Remboorsement j
parcel bearin**- two addresses is not claimed by tbefirstaddressee within a period of 8 days, the !
parcel will be held at tbe disposal of the second addressee for a farther period of 7 days and if
then unclaimed will be treated as undeliverable.
FEES PAYABLE.
For each Remboursement parcel posted in Cyprus, in addition to the usual postage and
insurance or other fees, a fee of 2p.

For each £1 or fraction of £1 on the valne of the Trade Charge of eacn parcel posced ;
in Cvnrus, a Remboursement fee of 2p.
'For each Remboursemeut parcel delivered in Cyprus a Delivery fee of 4*p.
INSURANCE OF PARCELS.
Parcels for Great Britain, certain British Possessions and Foreign Countries can '
be injured, subject to a limit of insured value and the Postal Insurance Regulations,
1925, at the Post Offices at Famagusta,
Paphos, Pedhoulas, Platres and Troodos.
