FOREIGN.
Parcels are accepted for, and received from, all countries which have adopted the
Parcels Post system, at various rates of postage.
Direct parcel post maib are exchanged between Cyprus and Great Britain
and Northern Ireland, Cyprus and Egypt, Cyprus and Italy, Cyprus and France and
Cyprus and Palestine.
The rates of postage on parcels addressed to Great Britain_and Northern Ireland are:—
For a parcel not exceeding 3 lb. in weight
For a parcel exceeding 3ft.but not exceeding 7 lb.
For a parcel exceeding 7 lb. but not exceeding II lb.
For a parcel exceeding 11 lb. but not exceeding 22 lb.
The limits of size are generally 3 ft. 8 in. in length and 6 ft. in length and girth combined.
The limit of weight is 22 ft*
RE-DLRECTION.
Parcels not exceeding 11 ft in weight re-directed from one Pose Office to another in
Cjpras shall be liable to additional postage at the full inland rate for each re-direction.
Parcels exceeding 11 ft. but not exceeding 22 ft. in weight received from abroad and
re-directed from one address to another in Cyprus, except where the original and the second
address are both within the delivery ares of the same Post Office, shall be liable to additional
postage as follows :—

RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE
The Postmaster-General shall not be liable to make good anv claim arising oat of the loss,}
damage or delay of parcels sent by post.
A system of compensation for loss of or damage to uninsured parcels is in force between
Cyprus, Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Egypt and France. Tee ma-dmam amoant of com–
pensation payable is £1.
CUSTOMS DECLARATION.
The sender of each parcel for abroad will be required to till up a Customs Declaration
Form. Upon this form most be given an accurate statement of the contents and value, date
of posting, and the senders signature and address.
CUSTOMS REGULATIONS.
Parcels on arrival in Cyprus will be liable to examination by an Officer of Customs.
•ho will assess the amount of Customs dues to be charged thereon. The Customs dues will be
collected at the time of delivery, and no parcel can be delivered until the Customs and all other
charges are paid.
Parcels found to contain forbidden articles and parcels, the contents and value of which
have been falsely declared, may be dealt with according to the law3 on the subject.

generally the senders of parcels, whether in Foreign Countries or Cyprus, will be required to
conform to the Ca3toms and other laws or regulations from time to time in force in respect of
sach parcels.
Parcels which cannot be delivered, returned to the senders, or re-directed, and which have
urns become undeliverable, will eventually be returned to the councrv of origin.
Parcels becoming offensive or injurious to any Officer of the Post Office or other person, or
to other parcels will be disposed of as the Postmaster-General may direct.
