H I D E S A N D S S _ N S . — T h e
importation of hides and skins of all equities, ruminants and
swine is prohibited except at the Port of Larnaca, and then with the permission of
the Health Officer of the Port to land them, and after disinfection.
The importation of hides and skins of goats, sheep, and similar small ruminants,
and swine is prohibited except at the ports of Larnaca, Limassoi, Famagusta and
Kyrenia. and with the permission of the Health Officer of the Port to land them, and
after disinfection.
A certificate by the Health Officer of the Port that the disinfection has been
accomplished must be presented to the Customs Authorities
before the removal of
the hides and skins from the place set aside for their disinfection
is
allowed.

HOOFS, HORNS.—Importation
prohibited save under licence from the Director of
Agriculture and subject to such terms and conditions as may be prescribed in such
licence.

3IOTOR CARS FTTTED W I T H LEFT-HAND DRIVES.—Importation
prohibited
This prohibition does not apply to any motor car in respect of which the Comptroller
of Customs is satisfied (a) that it is imported for the personal use of the importer,
and (b) that, prior to its importation, it has been in the bonafidepossession and use
of the importer as a private car in any country outside Cyprus and was purchased
by him prior to hisfirstarrival in Cyprus. The Comptroller of Customs m a y also
grant a permit to any visitor to Cyprus who is the owner of any motor car with a
left-hand drive to import such motor car subject to the condition that it shall be
exported by the visitor within four months from the date of importation.
