IMPORTS—continued.
The importation of merchandise packed in hay, straw or other fodders is prohibited
unless accompanied by a certificate from a Veterinary Inspector to a Local Authority
of the country of origin that such hay, straw and other fodder has been grown and stored
and the merchandise packed in a district not infected with Foot and Mouth disease, or
unless accompanied by a certificate from a Veterinary Inspector to a Local Authority
that the packing has been thoroughly disinfected. The importation of merchandise
packed in such hay, straw or other fodder unaccompanied by a certificate as aforesaid
is permitted after the destruction cf such packing to the satisfaction of the Chief Officer
of Customs at the port of importation. This prohibition does not affect packing in the
form of manufactured ^Tappers of 3traw.
The importation of hay or straw other than hay or straw imported under the pro–
visions of the Order of 13th May, 1926, (see preceding item) is prohibited save under
permit of the Director of Agriculture (a).
The importation of uiiroasced grouud nucs is absolutely prohibited.

WHITS OR YELLOW PHOSPHOROUS MATCHES.—Importation
prohibited.
DAGGERS.—Importation prohibited.
DANGEROUS DRUGS :—
Raw Opium and Coca Leaves.—Importation prohibited except for medicinal and
scientific purposes and under license in writing of the Director of Health and into
ports approved by the Comptroller of Customs.
Prepared Opium.—Importation prohibited.
Indian Hemp.—Importation prohibited.
Morphine, cocaine (including synthetic cocaine), ecgonine, diacetyl-morphine (commonly
known as diamorphine or heroin), and their respective salts, medicinal opium, and
any extract or tincture of Indian hemp, and any preparation, admixture, extract
or other substance containing any proportion of diacetyl-morphine or containing
not less than one-fifth per cent, of morphine or one-tenth per cent, of cocaine or
ecgonine, and the drugs known a3 benzoyl-morphine, eucodal, dicodide and di-hydro-
morphinone and it3 salts and any preparation, admixture, extract or other substance
containing any proportion of di-hydro-morphinone.—Importation prohibited except
for medicinal and scientific purposes and under licence in writing of the Director of
Health.
—Importation from Egypt. Palestine and Syria prohibited.
SHAVING BRUSHES.—The
importation of shaving brushes manufactured in or exported
from the Empire of Japan is prohibited.
CINEMATOGRAPH FILMS.—Importation
prohibited, except by the written license, previously
obtained, of a Board consisting offivepersons nominated from time to time by the
Governor. :
BEES, HOSEY, AND SUBSTANCES CONTAI>*ING HONZV IN AN UNCOOKED STATE.—Importa–
tion nrohibited, exceot bv license under the hand of the Governor.
CIGARETTE PAPER.—Importation
prohibited except by license in writing of the Comp–
troller of Customs previously obtained.
BONES.—The importation of unmanufactured bones is prohibited except by special
license under the hand of the Colonial Secretary under 3uch terms and conditions
aa he m a y thinkfitto impose.
Semi-manufactured bones m a y be imported at Larnaca (or at such other port as the
Director of Health by license under his hand m a y permit on application before arrival
of the bones) on the conditions prescribed in the Importation of Bones Order, 1929.
MOTOR CARS FITTED

LEFT-HAND DRIVES.—Importation
prohibited.
Provided that motor cars fitted with left-hand drives which have been in the
possession and use of the importer for not less than one year m a y be imported upon
Ucence from the Governor, and provided further that snch importer undertakes to
have such motor car converted toright-handdrive to the satisfaction of the Director
of Public Works before using it.
