IMPORTS—continued.
N o article, the importation of which is in any way prohibited or restricted under
the provisions of these regulations, shall be allowed to be imported from any place or
country from which the importation of such article is not prohibited or restricted, unless
the officer*t5f the Customs shall be satisfied that such article does not originate in any
place or country from which the importation of such article is prohibited or restricted
and that the other requirements of these regulations have been complied with in respect
of such attiete.
The importation of unroasted ground nuts is absolutely prohibited.
All articles, trinkets or ornaments whicn resemble coins legally current in Cyprus and
which in the opinion of the Customs may give rise to deception, prohibited.

:—Importation prohibited.
D Y E S A N D D Y E S T U F F S
:—The importation into Cyprus of the following dyes and
dyestuffs, not being the produce or manufacture of any part of the British Empire,
\. prohibited, except by special Ucence under the hand of the Chief Secretary to
Government:—All derivatives of coal tar generally known as intermediate products
capable of being used or adapted for use as dyestuffs, or of being modified or
further manufactured into dyestuffs. All direct cotton colours, all union colours,
all acid colours, all chrome and mordant colours, all alizarine colours, all basic
colours, all sulphide colours, all vat colours (including synthetic indigo), all oil,
spirit,,and wax colours, all lake colours, and any other synthetic colours, dyes,
. stains, colour acids, colour lakes, leuco acids, leuco bases, whether in paste, powder,
solution or any other form.

DRUGS.—Importation prohibited, except under licence of the Chief Medical
Officer in writing previously obtained.
Definition of Dangerous Drugs.—" Dangerous drug " includes opium, morphine, cocaine,
ecgonine, and diamorphine (commonly known as heroin), and their respective salts,
and any preparation, admixture, extract, or other substance containing not less
than one-fifth per cent, of morphine or one-tenth per cent, of cocaine, ecgonine
or diamorphine (the percentage in the case of morphine shall be calculated as in
respect of anhydrous morphine).
NOTE.—All the products of thefirmof F. Hoffmann—La Roche and Company, of Basle,
Switzerland, which contain dangerous drugs as defined in sec. 34 (1) and (2) of Law 24
of 1879 are prohibited wholly to be imported into Cyprus.
POULTRY.—Importation from Egypt. Palestine and Syria prohibited.
SHAVING
BRUSHES.—The importation of shaving brushes manufactured in or exported
from the Empire of Japan is prohibited.
E X P O R T S .
ANTIQUITIES.—Exportation prohibited without the permission of Government.
BARK, TAR, PITCH AND
RESIN.—Exportation prohibited, except by license under the
hand of the High Commissioner.
