IMPORTS—continued.
The importation of unroasted ground nuts is absolutely prohibited.
Imitation coins, all articles, trinkets or ornaments whicn resemble legally current coins and
which in tbe opinion of the Cnstoms may give rise to deception, prohibited.

MATCHES.—Importation prohibited.

D Y E S A N D D Y E S T U E T S
:—The importation into Cyprus of the following dyes and
dyestuffs, not being the produce or manufacture of any part of the British Empire,
.. prohibited, except by special licence under the hand of the Chief Secretary to
Government:—All derivatives of coal tar generally known as intermediate products
capable of being used or adapted for use as dyestuffs, or of being modified or
further manufactured into dyestuffs. All direct cotton colours, all union colours,
all acid colours, all chrome and mordant colours, all alizarine colours, all basic
colours, all sulphide colours., all vat colours (including synthetic indigo), all oil,
spirit, and wax colours, all lake colours, and any other synthetic colours, dyes,
stains, colour acids, colour lakes, leuco acids, leuco bases, whether in paste, powder,
solution or any other form.

DRUGS.—Importation prohibited, except under licence of the Chief Medical
Officer in writing previously obtained.
Definition of Dangerous Drugs.—"Dangerous drug " includes opium, morphine, cocaine,
ecgonine, and diamorphine (commonly known as heroin), and their respective salts,
and any preparation, admixture, extract, or other substance containing not less
than one-fifth per cent, of morphine or one-tenth per cent, of cocaine, ecgonine
or diamorphine (the percentage in the case of morphine shall be calculated as in
respect of anhydrous morphine).
POULTRY.—Importation from Egypt, Palestine and Syria prohibited.
EXPORTS.
ANTIQUITIES.—Exportation prohibited without the permission of Government.
BARK, TAR, PITCH AND
RESIN.—Exportation prohibited.
TIMBER, CHARCOAL AND
FIREWOOD.—Being the produce of Cyprus, exportation prohibited.
MANURE.—Exportation prohibited
GAME.—Exportation unlawful.
Definition of Game.—Hares, Pheasants, Partridges, Francolin, Sand Grouse, Quail
Bustards, Wild Swans, Wild Geese, Wild Duck of any kind, Woodcock and Snipe.

Note.—Includes game in any form, pickled or otherwise. A reasonable quantitv of
provisions for ships in port may, however, be allowed.
SKINS OR EGGS
of Game or Wild Bird.—Exportation unlawful. His Excellency may
however allow exportation for scientific purposes.
ARMS, AMMUNITION, MILITARY AND NAVAL STORES:
The High Commissioner may prohibit exportation, or the carriage* coastwise in order
to prevent their being used against His Majesty's subjects or forces, or against any forces
engaged or which may be engaged in co-operation with His Majesty's forces.
The exportation to China of arms, ammunition and munitions of war of every
description, excluding sporting weapons and ammunition therefor, is prohibited excent
by license under the hand of the High Commissioner.
DANGEROUS
DRUGS.—Exportation prohibited except by Ucence under the hand of the
High Commissioner.
NOTE—"

admixture, extract, or other substance (officinal or non-officinal, including the so-caUed
anfa-opium remedies) containing not less than one-fifth per cent, of morphine, or one-

phine shall be calculated as in respect of anhydrous morphine), or such other drug as m a y
from time to time be declared by Order in Council to be a dangerous drug.
