CUSTOM HOUSE DECLARATION.
27. The sender of each parcel will be required to fill up a Custom House Declaration Form
which may be obtained at any Office where Parcel Post busiuess is conducted. Upon this form
must be given an accurate statement of the contents and value, date of posting, and the sender's
signature and address.

DEMURRAGE.
28. Parcels from Foreign Countries, if undeliverable, will be retained at a Post Office fo
a period not exceeding three months, and demurrage will only accrue when parcels may,
under special instructions, have to be retained longer. The charge for demurrage will be at tbe
rate of lcp. per diem.
CUSTOMS REGULATIONS.
29. Parcels on arrival here from Foreign Countries will be liable to examination by an
Officer of Customs, who will assess the amount of Customs dues to be charged thereon. The
Cnstoms dues will be collected at the time of delivery, and no parcel can be delivered until the
Customs and all other charges are paid.
30. Parcels found to contain forbidden articles and parcels, the contents aud value of which
have been falsely declared, may be dealt with according to the laws on the snbject. And
generally the senders of parcels, whether in Foreign Countries or Cyprus, will be required to
conform to the Customs and other laws or regulations from time to time in force in respect nf
snch parcels.
UNDELIVERED PARCELS.
81. A p-arcel which cannot be delivered will be retained at the Post Office to which it is
addressed for a period not exceeding three months; but if possible the sender will be consulted
through the Postal office of origin, as to its disposal.
82. Parcels which cannot be delivered, returned to the senders, or re-directed, and which
have thus become undeliverable, will eventuallv be returned to the countrv of ori-rin.
38. Parc-e's becoming offensive or injurious to any Officer of the Post Office or other person
or to other parcels will be disposed of as the Island Postmaster may direct.
PRIVATE BOX REGULATIONS.
Private boxes can be rented at the Post Offices Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassoi, Famagusta,
Kyrtnia, Papho and Platres, at the undermentioned rates:—
Class A.

10s. per annum or Is. per mensem.
The above payments must be made in advance and no person will be allowed the use of a
box until he hasfirstpaid therefor in accordance with the above scale.
2. A k-y with a number label will be supplied to each renter of a box on his depositine with
the Clerk in Charge the sum of is. which will be returned if the renter, on ceasing" to rent his
box, gives back his key and number label. The renter will be responsible for the safe custodv of
the key and label.
In the event of a key being lost another key will be supplied to the renter on his depositine a
further snm of is. which will be returned if the lost key is given back to the Clerk in Charge
within one m.Tith from the date when the new key was supplied. If the lost kev is not given
back within t'.iis period the deposit will become forfeit.
3. The Is^.nd Postmaster, if he thinks proper, may refuse to allot a box to an applicant
without assig::ing any reasons for so doing, or may withdraw the privile?e of rentins a box bv
giving to the r.-::ter a month's not'es of his intention to do sn. Any balance of rent"which mav
be due to the rinter at the expi-ation of such p:r:od shall be refunded.
