Service of documents :—
For service iu Cyprus of any document required to be served through
the Court such fee as shall be properly payable to the police for that
puqx-se, and on payment of such fee to the proper officer of police, the
document will be served iu the same manner as though it were forwarded
for service by an officer of the Court.
The fees appointed to be taken by the Police are as follow* (©):—
For the service of any document served within a distance of three
miles of the Court of the District - -
For every additional tiiree miles or portion thereof - . -
B u t so that the m a x i m u m fee charged shall not iu any case exceed
the s u m of

For the service out of Cyprus of any document required io be served
through the Court such s u m as shall be actually expended in effecting
such service and procuring evidence thereof. A n y Judge or tbe Registrar
of the Court may, on application being made for such service to be
effected, require the applicant to deposit in Court such s u m as m a y be
estimated to be necessary for defraying the expenses of such service and
the procuring of evidence thereof.
In any proceeding not provided for in the above scale, in respect
whereof a fee has been heretofore chargeable, the saaie fee shall continue
to be taken as hcrc:*::"ore. A n y such fee wtx.-re expressed in the currency
of the Ottoman Empire to be reckoned at the rate of 1-V Cypras piastres
for a piastre and 3 0 Cyprus piastres for a inedjid, and where expressed
in British currency to be reckoned at the rate of 14 Cyp-ns piastres
for every i^o pen'.**?.
