The Streets and Buildings Regulation Law.

NOTICE UNDER SUB-SECTION (3) OF SECTION 17.
Whereas the Municipal Council of Famagusta, as the appropriate authority (hereinafter referred to as " the appro–
priate authority ") under section 3 of the Streets and Buildings Regulation Law (hereinafter referred to as " the Law ")
considers under sub-section (2) of section 17 of the Law that the streets set out in the Schedule hereto should be properly
constructed ;
And whereas the appropriate authority has passed a resolution to this effect and has prepared plans and specifications
for such works :
Now, therefore, by this notice under sub-section (3) of section 17 of the Law, the appropriate authority notifies that :—
(a) a unanimous resolution has been taken to that effect ;
(b) plans and specifications have been prepared and deposited in its office ;
(c) such plans and specifications are open to inspection by the public at all reasonable times for a period of two
months from the publication of this notice in the Gazette.
And it is further notified that particulars in columns 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 (b) of the Schedule are given respectively for the
following matters in respect of each of the streets specified in the Schedule :
(i) the names of the owners who will contribute to the cost ;
(ii) the proportion in which their contribution shall be made ;
(iii) the estimated cost of the work ;
(iv) any unexpended sum of money deposited with the appropriate authority under section 6 of the Law ;
(v) the number of years over which such owners may pay their contribution in equal annual instalments.
Any owner of immovable property affected by the plans and specifications prepared by the appropriate authority and
deposited in its office as aforesaid may, during the period within which such plans and specifications are deposited for
inspection, lodge an objection thereto in writing with the appropriate authority under sub-section (4) of section 17 of the
Law.
SCHEDULE.
Name of Street : Phidias.
Total length of frontage : 401 feet run.
Total estimated cost of work : £210.000 mils.
Description of work to be done : Levelling*, sub-grade, widening of sub-base, asphalting, and overhead expenses.
