occupation only of Government House in that year.

roads; and transfer of expenditure on roadside trees from Head 24.
Additional temporary assistance, and increased travelling expenses.
Purchase of new motor boat.

Staff vacancies in 1936 ; and purchase of army mares from Egypt

balance at the 31st of December, 1937.
Expenditure is directly related to the grants received from the Fund.

Participation in Empire Exhibition, 1938.
Increased permanent establishment; and acquisition of property
at Famagusta.
Outstanding liability, and reduced contribution towards uew
Military Barracks.
Loss on disposal of investments; inclusion of telephone service
charges previously paid from Head 24 *, increased transport
expenses under new Leave and Passage Regulations ; and transfer
to expenditure of long-term loan and advance accounts at the
31st of December, 1937.
