DUTY COLLECTION FEE.
A. fe. of 'dp. is charged by the Post 0_ic-e in respect of each parcel delivered in Cyprus
unon which Customs dutv has to be collected.

Parcels to Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Egypt and the Sudan, and those
British Possessions and Foreign Countries which have adopted the arrangement, which
bear one address only, if not claimed by the addressee within a prescribed period which
varies from 15 co SO days according to the country of destination, will be treated as unde–
liverable, and wili be either returned to the sender or disponed nf in accordance with the
sender's wishes should such be inscribed on the parcels. If the parcels bear two addresses.
they will be held at the disposal of the first addressee for a specified period (usually about
half of the total period of retention) and if not claimed will be held at the disposal of the
second addressee for the remainder of the total period of retention, and if then unclaimed
will be treated as undeliverable.
Parcels received from those British Possessions and Foreign Countries which have
adopted the above mentioned arrangement will be retained for 15 days, that is to say,
8 days at the disposal of thefirstaddressee and 7 days at the disposal of the second
addressee.
Parcels to and from countries which have not agreed to apply tbe simplified arrange–
ment for the treatment of undeliverable parcels will be retained at the Post Office to which
they are addressed for a period not exceeding three months ; but if possible the sender-
will be consulted, through the office of origin, as to disposal.

SYSTEM.
The '* Remboursement" system is designed to meet the requirements of persons who
wish to pay for articles sent to them at the time of receipt of the articles and also to meet the
requirements of traders and others who wish to recover through the agency of th. Post Office the
value of articles supplied by them.
Throughout these Regulations the amount to be collected under the " Remboursement "
system is called the " Trade Charge."
The amount of Trade Charge shall not exceed the limits accepted by the country of
destination and the maximum shall in no case exceed £ 40 including the fees payable at the office
of origin and postage.
Every " Remboursement Parcel" posted or delivered in Cyprus shall be chargeable
with such special fees as may be prescribed for that purpose.
The fees parable at the office of origin will be collected at the time of postin*r; and
should be included bj rue sender in the amount required to be collected from th- addressee.
The full amoun: so collected is remitted to the sender of the parcel by means of Trade Charge
Money Orders.
Remboursement parcels may be posted at tbe Post Offices at Famagusta. Kyrenia,
Larnaca, Lefka. Lefkara. Lefkoniko. Limassoi, Morphou, Nicosia, Paphos, Polis and Yialousa,
and at Pedhoulas. Platres aud Troodos during the summer season.
The sender of a parcel posted under the Remboursement system may not have the amount
of the Trade Charge cancelled or reduced after posting.
If a Remboursement parcel which bears one address only is not claimed by the addressee
within a period of 15 days, the parcel will be treated as undeuverable. If a Remboursement
parcel bearing two addresses is not claimed by thefirstaddressee within a period of 8 days, the
parcel will be held at the disposal of the second addressee for a further period of 7 days'and if
then unclaimed will be treated as undeliverable.
FEES PAYABLE.
For each Remboursement p.ircel posted i*i Cyprus, in addition to the usual r.-ostaf. and
insurance or other fees, a fee of 2p.
For each £1 or fraction of £1 on the value of the Trade Charge of each parcel posted
in Cyprns. a Rembjursemeut fee of 2p.

Parcels for Great Britain, certain British Possessions and Foreign Countries can
be insured, subject to a limit of insured value and the Postal Insurance Re-rulations,
1925, at the Post Offices at Famagusta, Kyrenia, Larnaca, Limassoi,
