(c) Exemptions:—
1. Goods shipped by the Government or for His Majesty's Forces; personal
baggage; empty sacks, casks or packages (not including jars or demijohns);
salt; straw ; mats for dunnage ; bona fide stores and provisions for ships in ports,
in reasonable quantities; goods for other places ; specie; small packages, not
exceeding ds. in value, accompanying a passenger when embarking; and shingle
and sand.
2. Stores and equipment for vessels of war and for yachts used solely for the
purpose of pleasure.

(1) Lighters discharging cargo from vessels in the Harbour or taking cargo for shipment
on board such Teasels, and boats,.exempt.
(5) Vessels which neither land Foreign cargo nor take cargo on board for a Foreign Port,
to pay half the rates above described.
