Licences are annual and expire at the end of the calendar year in which they are issued.
The fee payable for a licence issued in the course of any year is one-twelfth only of
the total fee specified above for every month or part of a month still to elapse before the
end of the year.
Persons in possession of a valid licence who intend to leave the Colony without
transferring the same are allowed a refund in full in respect of each complete quarter of
the year still to run.
E X E M P T I O N S .
(a) Motor cars and motor cycles registered for demonstration purposes.
(6) Motor cars and motor cycles imported by visitors (2).
(c) Motor tractors.
(d) Motor cars used by any Municipal Corporation for watering or other sanitary
purposes within the Municipal limits over which such Municipal Corporation exercises
authority.

(c) Licences to drivers of any motor car used by any Municipal Corporation for
watering or other sanitary purposes within the Municipal limits over which such Municipal
Corporation exercises authority, whilst so driving such a motor car.
(d) Licences to drivers of any Government motor car, whilst so driving such motor car.

(2) " Visitor" means a person w h o imports a motor car or motor cycle for his o w n use whilst on a visit to Cyprus.
Such mot*ir car or motor cycle mu*t be furnished with a valid Fiscal Permit issued in accordance with the International
Convention regarding the taxation of Foreign Motor Vehicles, signed at Geneva on the 30th March, 1931, and be registered
in the territory of one of the parties to that Convention. T h e visit m a y consist of one or more periods of stay totalling in
all ninety days within a period of one year, the latter period being reckoned from the day of the issue of the Fiscal Permit
to the corresponding day in the following year.
(3) These licences are payable annually on or after tbe 13th March. If thefirstlicence is taken prior to ISth September charge is
