In consequence ofriotswhich broke out in Cyprus in October,
1931, the Legislative'Council of the Colony-
was established
by Letters Patent of His Majesty the King dated the 10th
March, 1925, was abolished and power to legislate was granted
to the Governor of the Colony, as an emergency measure, by
Letters Patent of His Majesty dated the 12th November, 1931
pending consideration of the j question of the constitutional
i
future of the Island.
