MISCELLANEOUS RECEIPTS.
AUTHORITY.

* FEES UNDER THE WRECKS LAW,
For wreck taken hr the Receiver into his custodj a commission offivepounds per hundred
pounds on tbe value thereof, hat so that the whole amoant of percentage shall not exceed the
turn of twenty poands in any case.
In the case of derelict delivered into the custody of the Eeceiver there shall he charged the
foUowing fees instead of percentage, viz. :—
If the value of the ship or boat with her cargo equals or exceeds £600, two poands
for thefirstday, and one pound for every subsequent day during which the Eeceiver is
employed on this service.
If the value of the ship or boat with her cargo is less than £600, half the above
charges
But if the amount reckoned according to this Eule exceeds a percentage offiveper
cent., the latter rate is to be charged.
In cases where any services are rendered by a Eeceiver in respect of any ship or boat in
distress, not being wreck, or in respect of the cargo or articles belonging thereto, the following
fees shall be charged, viz.:—
If the value of the ship with her cargo equals or exceeds £600, two pounds for the
first day, and one pound for every subsequent day the Eeceiver is employed in the service.
If the value of the ship with her cargo is less than £600, half the above charges.
t T o a valuer appointed under Section 24 ofthe Wrecks Law, 1886, there shall be paid
fees not exceeding the following, viz. .*—
Where the vessel only has to be valued, if the valae does not exceed £600
If the value exceeds £600
Where cargo also has to be valued an additional allowance not to exceed ...
There shall also be charged by the Eeceiver in respect of such valuation the
following fees, viz.:—

In cases where the Eeceiver finds it necessary to employ a vainer to deter–
mine the valae of any property in his custody, there shall be paid to
the person employed to value such property a fee not exceeding the
following

Bnt when the value of the property exceeds £ 1 0 0 there may be paid such sam, not exceed–
ing £ 1 , as m a y be considered reasonable according to the special circumstances of the case.
