The minimum surcharge collected on insufficiently prepaid correspondence received
from abroad is one piastre.

INSURANCE OF LETTERS AND BOXES.
Letters and boxes for Great Britain and Northern Ireland, certain British Possessions
and Foreign Countries can be insured, subject to limitations and the Postal Insurance
Regulations, 1925, at the Post Offices at Famagusta, Kyrenia, Larnaca, Limassoi,
Nicosia, Paphos, Pedhoulas, Platres and Troodos.
The maximum sum of insurance which may be effected on letters and boxes
addressed to Great Britain and Egypt is £120.
The fees payable on letters and boxes for countries to which the system of insurance
extends are as follows :—

Theregistrationand insurance fees must be pre-paid in addition to the full postage.
Compe'nsation for the loss of an insured letter, or box, or its contents-, will not
exceed the amount of the actual loss, and will in no case exceed the maximum sum
of insurance admitted by the country of destination.
