:
General Hospital.
I. The quantity of water is limited, but suflicient. The source is a well dug in
the Hospital ground. Qualitv is good. A n additional supply has been laid
i
on by a service pipe from the Public Works Department pumping station.
II. There are three full length enamelled iron baths, one for male wards, one for
female wards and one for Maternity wards. There are two closets for male
patients with two pails in each, and two closets for female patients with one
pail in each.
UT. Night soil pails are cleaned several times daily, disinfectants used freely,
and privies frequently white-washed.
Sanatorium.
I. There is a plentiful supply of good water obtained from wells.
IL There are no baths, but a wash room is attached to each Block of Buildings
in which small zinc baths are used.
III. Night soil pails are cleaned daily, disinfecrants used freely,and privies frequently
white-washed.
Leper Hospital.
I. The quantity of water is limited. The water supply is from a chain of wells
which, also supplies the Mental Hospital. Quality is good.
II. There are two zinc baths and two closets, one for male and one for female
patients.
UT. Night soil pails cleaned daily, disinfectants used freely, and privies frequently
white-washed.

I. The quantity of water is practically unlimited. The source is the town
aqueduct. Quality is good.
II. There is a bath room for each male and female department, with one full length
bath in each.
III. Drainage of water through cemented conduits into cesspits ; earth closet, two for
male and two for female patients, cleaned dailv; disinfectants usedfreely; the
closets are separate from the main building and! are reached bya roofed passage.

I. The water supply is limited but has been improved by an additional pipe line.
It is derived from the town water-works. Quality is good, but hard.
II. There are two full length enamelled baths, one for male wards and one for

HI. There is no sewerage "system ; waste water is conducted by channels into deep
cesspits. T w o closets are provided for male patients and two for females,
there is also a closet for private wards. The dry earth system is in use, the
latrines arefly-proof,are cleaned and disinfected daily andfrequentlywhite–
washed.

which the water is conveyed by an aqueduct. There is also a well in the

There is no sewerage.
