For every carriage, half of the above rates.
For every motor cycle, with or without a carriage .. .. .. .. 1 0 0
Licences are annual and expire at the end of the calendar year in which they are
issued.
The fee payable for a licence issued in the course of any year is one-twelfth only of
the total fee specified above for every month or part of a month still to elapse before the
end of the year.
Persons in possession of a valid licence who intend to leave the Colony without
transferring the same are allowed a refund in full in respect of each complete quarter of
the year still to run.
E X E M P T I O N S .
(o) Motor cars and motor cycles registered for demonstration purposes.
(6) Motor cars and motor cycles imported by visitors* to Cyprus for their own use
and so registered.
(c) Motor tractors.
(d) Motor cars used by any Municipal Corporation for watering or other sanitary
purposes within the Municipal limits over which such Municipal Corporation exercises
authority.

Licences to drive a motor car or motor cycle expire one year after the date of issue
and m a y thereafter be renewed from year to year.
EXEMPTIONS.
(a) Licences to visitors to Cyprus who import a motor car or motor cycle for their
own use.
(b) Licences to drivers of motor tractors whilst driving a motor tractor.
(c) licences to drivers of any motor car used by any Municipal Corporation for
watering or other sanitary purposes within the Municipal limits over which such Municipal
Corporation exercises authority, whilst so driving such a motor car.
Fee for duplicate licence in the event of loss or defacement of the original 3*.
* '* Visitor " means a person visiting Cyprus for a period of four months and not longer, such period romruencir.g from the dat»: whe
such person imports a motor car or motor cycle. The visitor must satisfy the Registrar of Motor Cars that he .& in possession of a
motor licence for the current vear issued by the authorities of the country in which he had last registered such motor car or motor cycle.
