In the event of two or more cases or packages being hooped, tied or secured together,
into one bundle, each case is to be considered as a separate case or package in levying
the wharfage dues.
E X E M P T I O N S .
Articles shipped by the Government of Cyprus, or for che Army or Navy ; personal
baegage; empcy sacks, casks, or packages (noe including jars or demijohns) ; straw; mats for
dunnaee; bona fide stores and provisions for ships in pore, in reasonable quantities ; goods for
other places in Cyprus: specie ; and small packages, not exceeding 5s. in value, accompanying
a passenger when embarking.
Stores and equipment for vessels of war and for yachts used solely for the purposes
of pleasure are exempt from the payment of wharfage dues (sec. 22 (4) of L a w 22 of 1899).
Oils and fuels intended for the use of aeroplanes: Provided, however, that
wharfaee dues shall in thefirstinstance be paid upon the landing of such oils and fuels,
the amount so paid being refunded w h e n the oils or fuels have been taken aboard an
aeroplane.
