SCHEDULE B.
For and in respect of all houses, shops and other buildings the Verghi of which is charged
on their estimated value (Yerghi Kimat), there shall be charged yearly one-thousandth part of
such estimated value.
SCHEDULE C.
For and in respect of the annual profits or gains arising or accruing to any person
whatever, whether an Ottoman subject or not, although not resident in this Island, from any
profession, trade or other business exercised within this Island there shall be charged yearly one
per cent, on such profits or gains.
SCHEDULE D.
For and in respect of every public office or employment of profit, whether public or private
and for and in respect of every annuity, pension or stipend payable out of the public revenue of
this Island, there shall be charged yearly one per cent, on all incomes derived from any of these
sources.
SCHEDULE E.
For and in respect of every sheep and goat there shall be charged yearly the sum of fifteen
paras.
t PILOTAGE, FAMAGUSTA & KARAVOSTASI.
The maximum remuneration which can be claimed by any licensed pilot for pilotage of
vessels, into or out of any port for which he is licensed, shall be :—
(1) For vessels nou exceeding 1,500 tons register ...

EDUCATION (No. 1) FUND.
The amount required for repairs, improvements, erection, extension or development
of any school buildings, premises, playgrounds, yards, gardens, village teachers'dwellings,
rents, furniture, maintenance, etc., etc., or the annual interest and sinking fund, if the
sum required has been raised by a loan, and for amounts written off as irrecoverable
from past assessments, is provided by the apportionment of the amoant amon** the
"churches, monasteries or throne according to their property situated in a town or village,
and the Greek-Christian inhabitants of the town, village or villages according to. the
means of each person.
EDUCATION (No. 2) FUND.
The additional Verghi Kimat payable by the M o h a m m e d a n inhabitants of the town
or village interested in the Moslem school concerned, shall be increased by such a percentage
as shall be sufficient to provide the s u m required for repairs, improvements, erection,
extension or development of any school buildings, premises, etc., etc., and provide the
-annual interest and sinking fund if the s u m required has been raised bv a loan.

EDUCATION (No. 3) FUND.
The additional Verghi Kimat payable by the inhabitants, other than Greek-Christian
or Moslem, of the town or village being of the same religious communitv interested in
the school concerned, shall be increased by such a percentage as shall be sufficient to provide
the sum required forrepairs,improvements, erection, extension or development of any
school buildings, premises, etc., etc., and provide the annual interest and sinking fund
if the sum required has been raised by a loan.
