The objects are to pro–
vide shelter and food for
young girls who may be
homeless or temporarily
out of work, and to giv?
them moral care and
training: and help to nnd
work. The Hostel, which
provides accommodation
for 7 girls, is managed by
a Committee consisting
of ladies of the British
& Cypriot communities.

struction of blind chil–
dren in reading (Greek
" Braille "), physical
training, singing, violin,
mat-making, chair
caning, etc.
Admission is free.
There isi also a Circula–
ting Library on the
deposit system. The Li–
brary is managed by a
Committee of which the
Governor is President.
There are about 3,500
volumes.
The Hospital is managed
by a Board on which
the Medical Officer has
a seat. The services of
the 3I.O. and three Com–
pounders, together with
medicines, a Hospital At–
tendant, etc., are supplied
by the Government gratis.
