Persons wishing to ship goods ou a foul vessel must be furnished with a guard, who will
undergo the same quarantine as that to which the ship is subject. This guard will be charged
for at the rate of 3s. 4$cp. per diem.

All Goods imported by His Majesty's Government or for the Government of Cyprus to be
used in the public service and duly certified as so imported by the Colonial Secretary'are exempt
from the payment of Quarantine Dues. •*
LICENCES, EXCISE, ETC.
* SHEEP AND GOAT TAX.
2^ silver piastres (3?cp.) per head yearly on every sheep and 5cp. per head yearly on
•very goat one year old and upwards.
The tax ou goats may be increased and that on sheep^ decreased by the Governor in
Council provided that no increase shall be made in the total amount receivable as calculated
upon the basis of the last preceding official returns of the numbers of sheep and goats in the
Island.
Sheep and goaU not produced by the owners at thefirstofficial enumeration and uncounted
thereat are liable to double tax.
