EXEMPTIONS.
Articles shipped by the Government of Cyprus, or for the Army or Navy; personal
bagtra*»*e - empty saria, casks, or packages (not incinding jars or demijohns); straw • mats for
dunnage'; bona fids 3tores and provisions for ships in port, in reasonable quantities ;**goods for
other places in Cyprus; specie *, and small packages, not exceeding 5s. in value, accompanying
a passenger when embarking.
Stores and equipment for vessels of war and for yachts used solely for the purposes
of pleasure are exempt from the payment of wharfage dues (sec. 22 (4) of L a w 22 of 1S99).

(1) Lighters discharging cargo from vessels in the Harbour or taking cargo for shipment
on board such vessels, and boats, exempt.

(2) Vessels which neither land Foreign cargo nor take cargo on board for a Foreign Port,
to pay half the rates above described.
