INSUFFICIENTLY PREPAID CORRESPONDENCE.
The minimum surcharge collected on insufficiently prepaid correspondence received
from abroad is one piastre.

For any postal packet posted after the ordinary hours of collection irrespective of

INSURANCE OF LETTERS.
Letters for Great Britain and Northern Ireland, certain British Possessions and
Foreign Countries can be insured, subject to limitations and the Postal Insurance
Regulations, 1925, at the Post Offices at Famagusta, Kyrenia, Larnaca, Limassoi,
Nicosia, Paphos, Pedoulas, Platres and Troodos.
The maximum sum of insurance which may be effected on letters addressed to
Geat Britain and Egypt is £120.
The fees payable on letters for countries to which the system of insurance extends (

Insurance fee for every £12 or fraction of that amount of the sum assured 2cp.
The registration and insurance fees must be pre-paid in addition to the full postage.
Compensation for the loss of an insured letter, or its contents, will not exceed the
amount of the actual loss and will in no case exceed the maximum sum of insurance
Admitted by the country of destination.
AIR MAIL SERVICE.
Any Kind of postal packet (except parcels) for the undermentioned countries'
may be sent by Ordinary Mail to Egypt for onward transmission by air mail. Air
mail correspondence may be accepted forregistrationbut it cannot be insured.

The rates of postage on parcels intended for delivery within the Colony are as
