* " Seclusion " is the isolation of a patient in a room at any time between the hours commencing one hour after the day
staif come on duty and ending at 7 p.m. by fastening the door or by closing it, wholly or partially, in any way,
so that the patient is unable to leave the room at will.
NoTE.—-The isolation of a patient in a room where the door is fastened by any latch, or held closed or ajar
is " Seclusion " and muse be recorded; but the fastening of a half door* provided the upper half is open/need not
be recorded.
