Prisoners of good behaviour and industrious in labour
sentenced to not less than two years are, if males, after
three-fourths, or, if females, after two-thirda of their
term of imprisonment has expired, recommended to the
Governor for remission of their sentence, with, or
without. Ticket of Leave.

occasion of a death in prison during the past year f
and what were the verdicts f
The District Medical Officer certifies aa to the cause
of death.
A n inquest was held on every occasion by the Cora*
missioner (Coroner) of the Diatriot on convicts who died
of any causes other than execution, viz. :-
(1) Convict Yanni Constanti, who died in the
Limassoi Hospital on 2nd April, 1920; and (2) Conviot
A h m e t Kiamil, who died in the * Central Prison
Hospital on 5th May, 1929.
Verdict in each case, natural death.
No executions took place during the year.

supplied when so ordered by the Medical Officer of the Prison ;
also extra diet of 40 drams olives and 40 drams -raisins are

Saturdays to all long sentence male and female prisoners during
the months when no fruit is (riven.
