5 per cent. £1,927 16 Government House, Nicosia,
is a single-storied structure
occupying three sides of a
square.
The central (entrance) block
containing the public
rooms is wood with a stone
''allerv on the South side.
The West- wing containing
the bedrooms isof stoucaud
the East wing containing
the domestic offices is of

Kitchen, etc.
There is a separate small
stone building containing
two rooms for the use of the
Private Secretary and
Aide-de-Camp.
A range of buildings near
the stables contains 7 rooms
suitable for grooms and
servants (under column
" Servants Bedrooms.")
There is stabling for 12
horses; cow-house; coach–
house; barness-room; gar–
age; chicken run; and a
small glass house with
lean-to for flowers.
Water for the house aud
garden is procured from
wells by two air motors and
an engine and pump, It is
led to the house and
garden by pipes. . The sup–
ply is good.
There is an incinerator
at the south end of the
wardens. A labourer is
paid by the Government
to attend to the earth
closets and remove rubbish.
There is a guard room at
the entrance gate.
