General Hospital.
I. The quantity of water is limited, but sufficient. T h e source
is a well dug in the Hospital ground. Quality good.
A n additional supply has been laid on by a service
pipe from the Public Works Department pumping station.
II. There are two full length enamelled iron baths, one for
male wards, one for female. T w o closets for male
patients. T w o pails in each. T w o closets for female
patients. One pail in each.
III. Night soil pails cleaned several times daily, disinfectants
used freely, and privies frequently white-washed.
Sanatorium.
There is a plentiful supply of good water obtained from wells.
There are no baths, but a wash room is attached to each
Block of Buildings in which small zinc baths are used.

additional pipe line. It is derived from the town water–
works. Quality good, but hard.

are provided for male patients and two tbr females,
there is also a closet for private wards. The dry earth
system is in use, the latrines arefly-proof,are cleaned

oh miles (distant ; brought in by au aqueduct. Qualitv

There are lavatories and zinc barhs and the waste water
is carried away when necessary.
Drv earth latrines are used and the contents trenched
in thefieldsdaily. There is no sewerage.
