The balance of rerenue orer expenditure remains to tbe credit of
Education Fund for retiring gratuities, etc.
Under the Education Law (other than Greek-Christian) 1920. a moi–
ety of the expenditure necessary for these Schools is raised by
direct taxation, the other moiety is prorided by Gorerument Grant.
"Voluntary contributions" represent the amounts added by the
looal Committees for School Maintenance.
