CIVIL ACTIONS BEFORE THE SUPREME COURT AND THE DISTRICT COURTS.
In matters regulated by the Rules of Court, 1886, in matters £
arising under the authority of clause TO of the H i g h Court of Justice
L a w , 1879, and in proceedings in bankruptcy under the provi–
sions of the Ottoman Commercial Code, the following fees are appointed
to be taken, in the Supreme Court, in the several District Courts, m
auy office which is connected with any of those Courts and by any
officer attached to any of those Courts, in respect of the several pro–
ceedings mentioned:—
O n sealing a writ of s u m m o n s in an action *.—
Where the amount claimed does not exceed £ 5 0 ...
W h e r e the amount claimed exceeds £ 5 0 & does not exceed £ 1 0 0 -
where no liquidated sum is claimed ; or where the recovery of
money is not the object of the action
W h e r e the amount claimed exceeds £ 1 0 0
O n sealing a summons to any person to attend as witness or
otherwise ...'
O n application to re-enter action for hearing w h e n it has been
entered and struck out for default of appearance and is not
re-entered by leave of the C o u r t : —
Where the amount claimed does not exceed £ 5 0
W h e r e the amount claimed exceeds £ 5 0 ; where no liquidated
s u m is claimed; or where the recovery of money is not the
object of the action

O n entering a judgment or any order for which no special fee is
provided... ...
O u filing notice of appeal to the Supreme Court
O n entering an order for leave to appeal to Privy Council
O n application to tax any bill of costs :—
For every £ 2 or part thereof claimed
O n filing notice of review of taxation
O n sealing any writ of execution :—
T o recover any sum not exceeding £ 5 0 ...
T o recover any sum exceeding £50, but not exceeding £100...
T o recover any sum exceeding £ 1 0 0
For preparing and furnishing any office copy :—
Where the copy does not exceed 200 words in English or Greek,
or 130 Turkish
For every further 100 words or part thereof in English or Greek
For every further 100 words or part thereof in Turkish
For the preparation of any writ of s u m m o n s
O n filing any agreement of reference under Order X X I L , Rule 7,
of Rules of Court, 1886
O n filing tiie award of an arbitrator
O n filing an affidavit ...
O n certifying any seal or signature to be the seal or signature of
tlie person whose seal or signature it purports to be
O n certifying any copy of any record of the Court (where such'
copy is not prepared by an Officer of the Court j to be a true
copy of the original document ...
Service of documents :—
For service in Cyprus of any document required to be served through
the Court such fee as shall be properly payable to the Police for that
purpose, and on payment of such fee to tlie proper officer of Police, the
document will be served in the same manuer as though it were forwarded
for service by an officer of the Court.
T h e fees appointed to be taken by the Police are as follows :—
For the service of any document served within a distance of three
miles of the Conrt of the District
For every additional three miles or portion thereof ...
But so that tiie m a x i m u m fee charged shall not in any case exceed
the sum of... ... ...
