Rules as to Court Fee*

Service of documents:—
For service in Cyprus of any document required to be served through
the Court such fee as shall be properly payable to the Police for that
purpose, and on payment of such fee to the proper officer of Police, the
document will be served in the same manuer as though it were forwarded
for service by an officer of the Court.
The fees appointed to be taken by the Police are as follows :—
For the service of any document served within a distance of three
miles of the Court of the District
For every additional three miles or portion thereof ...
But so that the maximum fee charged Bhall not in any case exceed
the sum of...
For the service out of Cyprus of any document required to be served
through the Court such sum as shall be actually expended in effecting
such service and procuring evidence thereof. Any Judge or the Registrar
ol the Court may, on application being made for such service
ejected, require the applicant to deposit in Court such sum as may be
estimated to be necessary for defraying the expenses of such service and
the procuring of evidence thereof.
In any proceeding not provided for in the above scale, in respect
whereof a fee was chargeable prior to the 17th April, 1886, the same fee
shall continue to be taken as before that date. Any such fee where
expressed in the currency of the Ottoman Empire to be reckoned at the
rate of ty Cyprus piastres for a piastre and 30 Cyprus piastres for a
medjid, and where expressed in British currency to be reckoned at the
rate of ty Cyprus piastres for every two pence.
B.—IN ADMIRALITY ACTIONS BEFORE THE SUPREME COURT.
On sealing a writ of summons in any action:
Where the amount c/aimed is £20 or under
Where the amouut claimed exceeds £20 :
Where no liquidated sum is claimed or where the recovery
of mouey is not the object of the action
Ou sealing a summons to any person to attend as a witness or
ortherwise. ... ... " ...
On entering a judgment or order for which no special fee is
provided ...
O n notice of appeal from afinaljudgment to the Privy Council
O n order giving leave to appeal to the Privy Council from any
order not being afinaljudgment
O n review by the Court of any order of a Judge :
Where the amount claimed does not exceed £20 ...
Where the amount claimed exceeds £20 or where recovery of
mouey is not the object of the action ...
O n application to tax any bill of costs :
For every £ 2 or part thereof claimed
O n review of any bill of costs .... ... ...
