Contract commenced on 1st January, 1921. for five rears. It provides that ths
mailships employed for this service must be classed as equal to A l at Lloyds
and of a tonnage of not less than 2.'100 tons, that the hull, engines, boilers, and
other machinery and equipment of th-*- stcimcr are sufficient for the service and J
iu good and safe condition for the carriate of mails, passengers and cargo, and -
adapted for the humane shipping and unshipping of animals, and that the
service shall provide adequate accommodation ror not less than 30 first-class.
